On November 18th, 2020, over 277 attendees & 36 speakers participated in BitGive’s groundbreaking event

Have you ever wanted to attend a virtual event where the focus was on decentralized and digital philanthropy? Where all the speakers were focused on a mission to use crypto and blockchain tech to improve our world? And where everyone had the same access because it was free? Us too, so we decided to host one!

On November 18th, 2020, we hosted 36 speakers and 277 attendees for the Decentralized (DePhi) Crypto for Good Conference, the first of its kind featuring and highlighting the people, projects, and organizations who are genuinely and actively leveraging bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology to help others and improve our world.

Keynotes at our inaugural conference included 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Bernhard Kowatsch of World Food Programme; Activist, Humanitarian, & Author, Dan Pallotta; and Head of DeFi at Bloq & Co-founder at Vesper’s Jordan Kruger.

Topics at our 2020 event included Decentralized and Digital Philanthropy, Cryptocurrency Across Borders, Leveraging Crypto for Good, and Social Impact and Blockchain. We hosted sessions across a number of timezones throughout the day to accommodate a global audience, and in order to prevent any barriers to entry the event was free.

Our 2020 sponsors who made this possible include Lead Sponsor Vesper by Bloq, Gold Sponsors BitPay and Vector Crypto Capital, and Silver Sponsors: BitGo, Elizabeth Rossiello, Fidelity Charitable, and Axisflip Cryptofinancial. Our Event Partners were Cryptomathic, who donated two beautiful crypto-themed timepieces to the event, and partners Global Blockchain Business Council, and Ter Molen Watkins & Brandt.

All of the incredible speakers and panels are now available to view for free on our YouTube channel, so if you didn’t attend or want to re-watch your favorite sessions, subscribe to our YouTube channel today!
