Jill Carlson is an investor with Slow Ventures, an early stage fund in San Francisco, and co-founder of the Open Money Initiative, a non-profit research organization. Through the Open Money Initiative, she has researched how people in closed economies and failing monetary systems manage their money, with a particular lens for the role that cryptocurrency can and does play. Jill has also conducted academic research in this sphere, looking in particular at the issue of capital controls.
